The full story:
The idea behind ConnectDem is connecting people with Dementia with Volunteers who wish to offer there help to these individuals. With our app, volunteers setup profiles unique to them. People with Dementia also setup unique profiles. Once complete, people with Dementia are able to be matched with a unique volunteer that share similar interests and hobbies where they’ll easily get along when presented infront of each other. This allows people with dementia to easily get the assistance that they need with a volunteer that can easily feel comfortable in assisting them with their day to day tasks.
Thank you DementiaHack/HackerNest!
PS: As a team, we would also like to extend a huge thanks to our team mentor Jessica Luh Kim. Without her mentorship and guidance, we would not have accomplished what we did in 30 hours. She was a huge help and her assistance was invaluable to us.
Sincerely from Team RSDS.
