The Full Story
There were two problems that we hoped to solve through our solution:
- Families in chaos and crisis are at risk of losing custody of their children to Human Services unless they meet all the requirements set forth in a treatment plan. Respondent parents are often times involved with numerous treatment and services providers while having frequent court hearings to attend. Managing and being compliant with the requirements can be overwhelming. Combining judicial business and social media technology for fair and accessible justice to distressed families. Busy schedules along with a family going through a stressful breakup, or major life change can affect how families function.
- Caseworkers or Case Managers provide oversight for the families in crisis and ultimately make recommendations to the court regarding compliance with the treatment plan.
Keeping these two problems in mind, we designed a personalized web application for caseworkers, case managers, and respondent parents involved in Dependency and Neglect cases. Caseworkers have the ability and other stakeholders have the ability to create accounts for clients to easily track and monitor required court hearings and other important appointments and scheduled tasks.
KeepTrack! provides a secure and privatized informational bridge that each parent can access anytime, anywhere to stay informed on important appointments and scheduled tasks, i.e. meeting with a judge, Probation Officer or treatment appointment.
Access to information for families in crisis mode can reduce stress that may ultimately impact the success of the family treatment plan.
KeepTrack! Also sends important appointment reminders via text or email.
